After establishing the Coastal Outpost, i wanted to have a ready source of Cobblestone. with some things learned form previous maps, i assumed gathering resources would be simpler on the ocean floor, as you dont have to initially dig as much. whether or not this is practically true, i continued on and constructed something along the likes of an Oil Rig, but it was for Cobblestone. It has a dock for maybe two boats, and has a systematically cleared room underground (bottom image). mining has ceased as i (not kidding) had run into a cave in EVERY direction - north, south, east, west, up, and down, preventing any symmetrical clearing (minecraft makes me, if not everybody, a little more OCD). some of the holes are filled with random bits of gravel, as this mine has been used in a new light, as a flint farm. placed precariously above the rig is the rail line, which was originally made just to simply link the new establishments (the Island
and the Coastal Outpost
) and bridge the waterway. everybody knows thats not all it does anymore...
